Exposición: Visiones del Alzheimer / Visions of the Alzheimer

Hola. Os quiero invitar a visitar la exposición: "Visiones del Alzheimer". Es una exposición permanente y su autora se llama Clara González, tiene 74 años y padece Alzheimer en fase avanzada. Es mi madre. El primer dibujo que podréis ver aquí es un intento de retrato que le hice el año pasado. Me gusta como ha quedado pero confieso que lo mío no es el retrato. El resto de dibujos los ha dibujado ella hace tres años. El proceso comienza con un dibujo que le hago yo de una chica con estilo infantil. Entonces ella la copia y yo la animo a dibujar diferentes modelos y versiones. A veces la guío un poco y le recuerdo que dibuje las piernas o los brazos, que se ha olvidado pero los 32 originales que podéis ver aquí son obra suya. Esta exposición pretende ser una llamada de atención a la sociedad y sus dirigentes para que comiencen a preveer todas las consecuencias de esta enfermedad que, según los expertos, la padecerá cada vez más gente en el futuro. Pienso que se ha de incrementar el gasto dedicado a construir más hospitales geriátricos y a potenciar las ayudas sociales para la gente que más lo necesite. VISIONES DEL ALZHEIMER

Hello. I want to invite you to visit the exhibition: " Visions of the Alzheimer ". It is a permanent exhibition and her authoress is called Clara Gonzalez, is 74 years old and suffers Alzheimer in advanced phase. She is my mother. The first drawing that you will see here is an attempt of portrait that I did to her.I like it but I confess that mine is not the portrait. The rest of drawings has drawn them she three years ago. The process begins with a drawing that I do to her of a girl with infantile style. Then she the copy and I encourage her to draw different models and versions. Sometimes I guide it a bit and I her remember that she draws the legs or the arms, which one has forgotten but the 32 original ones that you can see here are a your work. This exhibition tries to be a warning to the society and her leaders in order that they begin to preveer all the consequences of this disease that, according to the experts, people will suffer increasingly in the future. I think that the expense has to be increased dedicated to constructing more geriatric hospitals and to promoting the social helps for the people who more needs it.
